About us
"CAFAM Contemporary Art Research Center" x “Spring-Time Contemporary Art Research Center” (abbreviated as "CARC") is an academic institution integrating art archive collection, exhibition curation, and academic research. It aims to build a new academic research platform that connects with society and form a cooperation mechanism among Chinese and foreign artists, curators, scholars, and art institutions.
The research center is committed to observing, evaluating, and analyzing contemporary art through academic history, art history, and on-site dynamics, conducting research and publishing on it. The center will establish an academic database, establish cooperation mechanisms with international contemporary art professional institutions, invite Chinese and foreign experts and scholars to participate in research projects, observe and write about the status of Chinese contemporary art, conduct academic dissemination, education, and publishing, benefit the society and academia, and build itself into a "Contemporary Art International Consortium". At the same time, the center will also be responsible for curating specific research projects, organizing academic activities and exhibitions.
"CAFAM Contemporary Art Research Center" also focuses on new perspectives and methods, innovatively linking social resources, creatively planning emerging social public art, empowering society through cross-disciplinary art, and participating in the sustainable development of the art ecosystem with academic expertise.
